Ulta Beauty Instagram Spec Ad

Ulta Beauty is a popular beauty retailer that specializes in selling products such as makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance. They have their own Ulta Beauty collection, as well as products from other brands, such as Urban Decay, the brand that I advertised for here. Naked, which is a line that Urban Decay sells, is being promoted as shown with the Naked 3 eyeshadow palette below.

In collaborating with a graphic designer, we introduced Urban Decay’s brand new Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette to an already loyal base of beauty consumers. We also introduced the new product to individuals that appear to be interested in beauty products based on their viewed content online, but aren’t currently following the brand. We want to inform and encourage both followers of Ulta and new potential followers to purchase this product.

We sent out a sponsored ad to appear on people’s Instagram feeds for two specific target audiences. The first target audience is those who are already followers of Ulta Beauty's Instagram page. The second audience is those who are interested in similar beauty brands based on their viewed content online, but aren’t currently following Ulta

We sent out a sponsored ad to appear on people’s Instagram feeds for two specific target audiences. The first target audience is those who are already followers of Ulta Beauty's Instagram page. The second audience is those who are interested in similar beauty brands based on their viewed content online, but aren’t currently following Ulta themselves.


Our goal is for the current followers to become excited learning about the new product and then to purchase it. Our goal for the new potential followers is for them to first engage with the brand/learn more about them before purchasing. This might include exploring their Instagram page, visiting their website, reading reviews, or signing up for their newsletter first.
